Our main ministry is our Sunday Service at 10:30 AM; there we hear from the preached Word and respond in joyful singing. There we celebrate the gospel at the Lord's Table.

Yet we know that to experience the fullness of the Christian gospel, and therefore, Sunday morning worship, we need other opportunities to grow in the faith. So we offer a number of groups and studies to fellowship in God's Word and prayer listed below.

Please email Pastor Matt to find out more information!

Wednesday Night Bible Study - Every week 6 PM

Church Membership

At SHCC we believe all Christians are called to meaningful Church Membership. As members of a Church, we are making the Invisible, Universal Church visible. God's love for us in the gospel (John 13:1-35) is revealed in us when we covenant together to share our lives. Meaningful church membership is when an imperfect person takes hold of an imperfect people and says, "These are those whom the Lord has given me, and behold, the lines have fallen in pleasant places." It is when an imperfect people takes in an imperfect person and says, "This one is mine."

At SHCC the process for Church membership is simple. Prospective members do a 1-2 hr. meeting with the eldership, where they go over the church's beliefs and philosophy of ministry and when they share their own story and what God is doing in their lives. It is a time of sweet fellowship as shepherds prepare to take in a sheep. When everyone is satisfied, the elders lead the prospective members and the congregation in a covenant ceremony where each one takes the other to be theirs'. And what God has joined together, let man not separate.
